My login details suddenly disappeared - why is that?
The information is stored in a cookie on your PC. This information over time can be over-written as you visit other web sites that need cookies too. Especially with the Netscape browser, the new cookies will replace cookies already existing on your PC. Netscape saves the information as cookies in a file that is limited in size. When the limit is reached, Netscape starts deleting older cookies from the file to make room for new ones coming in. A way to avoid this problem happening again you may wish to use the Microsoft Explorer browser, available at www.microsoft.com

Do I need a special browser to use Citibank Internet Banking?
You need a browser that supports strong encryption. To check if yours is OK just click on Browser Check. If not, you must upgrade your browser version.

Am I the only person who can access my account?
The only way anyone can access your account information is if they have your ATM Personal Identification Number (A-PIN) and your Citicard/Credit Card. This is why it is crucial not to let anyone else know these numbers - and not to write them down, especially on your Citibank card or computer! If you think someone may know them, let us know immediately. You can also change your PIN on-line.

What is Citibank's policy regarding the use of cookies?
A 'cookie' is a small piece of information that a website server can store on your browser. This means that information such as your User ID can be stored so you don't have to type it in every time. Any browser that enables you to use Citibank® Online will allow cookies to be set which means the information will be stored for a limited period of time in a cookie file in your computer's memory. Your Citibank ATM Personal Identification Number (A-PIN) is never stored as a cookie.
