The Citi Foundation supports programs
that help improve communities around the world. The work of the
Citi Foundation’s non-profit
partners is extremely important to the development of local communities.
We pride ourselves in making the difference by offering the talents
and skills of thousands of our employees working across more
than 100 countries in the world who volunteer their own time
to nonprofit
groups, making a positive contribution to their local communities.
Working with a global network of Citi colleagues and nonprofits
in the community, the Foundation supports and awards grants in
three main areas:
Financial Education
Financial Education is a natural extension of the work Citi does,
and it helps us make a difference in the communities where we
live and work. The Citi Foundation is committed to providing
opportunities for youth & adults to develop the skills and
knowledge they need to manage their personal finances responsibly,
make informed economic decisions, and achieve success in the
global work place.
Educating the Next Generation
The Citi Foundation believes that all children should have access
to high-quality education that helps them acquire the knowledge
and skills to find rewarding careers, manage their lives and
fully participate in society. Enhanced educational opportunities
better prepare the next generation to achieve personal and professional
success.
Building Communities and Entrepreneurs
For more than a century, Citi has been part of the fabric of thousands
of communities around the world. With Citi’s global presence
comes a responsibility to create a positive impact in those communities
through community development, microfinance, and nonprofit capacity
building.
